Juba, South Sudan – President Salva Kiir has issued sweeping presidential decrees relieving several high-ranking officials from their positions across the national government, state administrations, and security institutions while appointing fresh leadership to key roles.
Officials Relieved: James Hoth Mai, Minister of Labour, Dak Doup Bichiok, Minister of Public Service and Human Resources Development, Angelina Teny, Minister of Interior, Nadia Arop Dudi, Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, Rin Tueny Mabor, Governor of Lakes State, Deng Joh Angok, Deputy Governor of Upper Nile State, Thoi Chany Reat, Director General, General Intelligence Bureau (GIB)
New Appointments: Aleu Ayieny Aleu – Minister of Interior, Ezekial Lol Gatkuoth – Minister of Public Service and Human Resources Development, Anthony Lino Makana – Minister of Labour, Sarah Nyanath Elijiah Yong – Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage, Madhang Majok – Governor of Lakes State, Deng Akuei Kak – Deputy Governor of Upper Nile State, Abraham Keat Bichiok – Director General, General Intelligence Bureau (GIB)
